Antigenic relationships among Tacaiuma complex viruses of the Anopheles A serogroup (Bunyaviridae).

چکیده
The Anopheles A (ANA) group of arboviruses is composed of six members (Calisher et al., 1973). Four of these viruses have been placed in the ANA complex (Anopheles A, Lukuni, and the unnamed CoAr 3624 and ColAn57389), and two of them have been placed in the Tacaiuma (TCM) complex (TCM and the unnamed CoAr 1071). One subtype of TCM (SPAr 2317) and one of CoAr 1071 (CoAr 3627) are also recognized (Calisher et al., 1973).

Phylogeny of the Simbu serogroup of the genus Bunyavirus.
The Simbu serogroup of the genus Bunyavirus, family Bunyaviridae contains 25 viruses. Previous serological studies provided important information regarding some but not all of the relationships among Simbu serogroup viruses. This report describes the nucleotide sequence determination of the nucleocapsid (N) gene of the small genomic segment of 14 Simbu serogroup viruses and partial nucleotide s...
متن کاملBunyaviral Diseases of Animals
A part of the large complex group of arboviruses is the Bunyaviridae family with over 300 members distributed over five genera. Two of the genera of veterinary importance in the family are Nairovirus, which contains the ruminant pathogen Nairobi sheep disease (NSD) virus, and the largest genus, Orthobunyavirus, which is subdivided into 48 serogroups. This genus contains only a few viruses that ...

A population of Aedes albopictus collected in 1986 in Harris County, Texas, was evaluated for its vector competence with 4 California serogroup viruses (Jamestown Canyon, Keystone, La Crosse and trivittatus). Rates of midgut infection, dissemination of virus beyond the midgut and oral transmission to suckling mice were markedly different for the 4 viruses in a pattern representative of the anti...
متن کاملCharacterization of the Candiru antigenic complex (Bunyaviridae: Phlebovirus), a highly diverse and reassorting group of viruses affecting humans in tropical America.
The genus Phlebovirus of the family Bunyaviridae consists of approximately 70 named viruses, currently assigned to nine serocomplexes (species) based on antigenic similarities. Sixteen other named viruses that show little serologic relationship to the nine recognized groups are also classified as tentative species in the genus. In an effort to develop a more precise classification system for ph...
متن کاملA novel panel of monoclonal antibodies against Schmallenberg virus nucleoprotein and glycoprotein Gc allows specific orthobunyavirus detection and reveals antigenic differences
A panel of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) specific for the nucleocapsid (N) protein or the glycoprotein Gc of Schmallenberg virus (SBV), a novel member of the Simbu serogroup (genus Orthobunyavirus, family Bunyaviridae), was produced and used to analyze antigenic differences among members of this serogroup. Reactivity with various SBV-isolates and other Simbu serogroup viruses was assessed by an ...
